Here are all the updates that have been announced in Figma Config 2023, some updates are too advanced and some are basic but necessary features. Let’s dive into new features and I’ll try to explain every new feature.

New Dev Mode

Here is a new space for the developers where designers can easily hand off the designs. Figma Dev mode also supports the Swift UI now and developers can see the Ready for Development pages on the left panel.

You can integrate your Figma designs seamlessly with component code and developer documentation by leveraging powerful connections with Jira, Storybook, and GitHub. Also, developers can add Figma to their workflow through Figma’s VS Code extension, inspect files, collaborate with designers, and receive notifications without leaving your code editor.

Enhanced Prototyping: Taking Innovation to the Next Level

Create high-fidelity prototypes rapidly and with fewer iterations using cutting-edge functionalities such as conditional logic, mathematical expressions, and variables. Additionally, experience the convenience of swift modifications with the inline preview feature.

Enhance your design process by focusing on creativity rather than constant resizing. Explore innovative techniques in auto layout, such as wrapping items onto new lines and defining minimum and maximum widths and heights.

Fonts Preview

Designers can check the font preview now without using any plugin, also you can search for the fonts and you can check the fonts that are used in the design file.

Effortlessly locate files

Easily search and discover content and conversations across your entire account using our global search and notifications feature. Say goodbye to the hassle of navigating through different spaces to find what you need. With powerful search functionality, you can quickly locate any content, whether it was created by you, others, or even within external teams. Finding what you’re looking for has never been easier!
